How long are your contracts?

Each plan or contract starts with a minimum 3 months payment followed by month-to-month payments for your Studio. A free month is applied to your account if you pay for an annual subscription.

After your three month or annual subscription your commitment is reduced to month to month. If you wish to have additional details please contact your Vantage Path account representative or email support@vantagepath.com

Can I switch plans?

Absolutely! If you find that you need additional options on your plan, for example adding a shopping cart or the authoring tool, then simply contact your account representative and we’ll add those features to your account. If you want to remove an option from your account, for example removing the authoring tool feature, contact us again and we’ll deactivate that feature. With the mix-and-match options for our Studio plans, you always get what you’re looking for when you need it!

Is there a free trial?

Yes, there is an unlimited free trial of the Learning Studio that you can activate by simply creating an account. Click the “Login” button at the top right of any vantagepath.com page. The trial includes free access to our authoring tool, SmartBuilder, where you can immediately get started creating your online courses. There are also many helpful video tutorials to get you acquainted with both the Learning Studio and the authoring tool.

When you’re ready to sign up, we automatically activate your paid account options and you’ll be able to access the additional Studio features and/or course building templates.

Can Vantage Path build me a custom course?

Yes, Vantage Path has a team of expert course builders that will collaborate with you to design and build the best possible course. We have a best practice process for building both Flash and HTML courses. It starts with setting the requirements; gathering your knowledge, content, and materials; creating an instructional design for your learning objects; scripting out an engaging storyboard; building your course; adding additional media elements; and finishing it with a quality assurance check.

Can courses be played on mobile devices?

Good question! Since there are many different mobile devices and Internet browsers, it really depends on how you create your course. Generally, courses are authored using two different styles: “Flash” enabled courses for the desktop (and some mobile devices) and “HTML” enabled courses that work in either medium (with a catch).

Flash courses are easier to create on your own using a tool like SmartBuilder and have powerful options for learning, with embedded video, audio, media pieces, intricate branching questions, simulations, and user scenarios. These courses are designed for the desktop but can be played on any mobile device with a “Flash” browser app, but depending on the screen size of your device it might be harder to read small text. We recommend “Puffin” which is available on the App Store and the Google Play store.

HTML courses are custom creations, our experts can create the same options as a Flash course. It’s a good idea to make your course “responsive” for different sizes of mobile devices, meaning that the course re-sizes elements depending on the size of the learner’s screen.

Can I cancel my service?

Yes, but all prepaid plans are non-refundable. If for some reason you need to cancel your service and you are on a month-to-month plan, then we can cancel your account that month. If you were using our authoring tool, you can also download a copy of your course and all your media pieces.
